What is Digital Life Certificate?
The Digital Life Certificate also referred to as “Jeevan Pramaan“, is a biometric-enabled digital service introduced by the Government of India in 2014 to guarantee timely pension payments without the traditional bureaucratic obstacles. It uses the Aadhaar platform for fingerprint or iris scanning to authenticate the pensioner’s identity.
